Pumpkins, a cabin, and a weekend in the fields

The pumpkin field and the late apples are open through October 31. Tours run Saturdays and Sundays, and the cabin is open most nights into winter.

Winter CSA Share: 12 Weeks

Twelve Thursday pickups from November 5 to January 28: squash, roots, cabbages, hoop-house greens, a dozen eggs, and a jar from the pantry. Pickup at the farm store, 3 to 7pm.

U-Pick

Strawberries and blueberries in summer. Right now it is pumpkins in the lower field and late apples in the orchard, through October 31. Pay by the pound at the store.

Farm-Stay Cabin

A one-room cabin at the edge of the orchard for up to four, with a kitchenette, a wood stove, and eggs from the coop for breakfast. Check-in from 3pm.

Farm Tour & Tasting

Ninety minutes through the fields, the hoop houses, and the hens with one of the family, then a tasting board in the barn. Saturdays and Sundays at 11. Kids under 12 free.

Farm Store

Open whenever the gate is. Eggs, honey, preserves, cut flowers until the first frost, and whatever came out of the ground that morning.

Harvest Supper

One long table in the barn, four courses, everything grown within sight of it. About every other Friday through the fall, 5:30pm, 24 seats. Wine from the neighbors is extra.

What a fall visit looks like

No booking for u-pick

Just come between Wednesday and Sunday. Wheelbarrows are at the top of the pumpkin field and you pay at the store on the way out.

Kids are the point

The hens are friendly, the barn cats less so, and nobody minds a pumpkin being carried by someone half its size.

Come before noon on Saturdays

October Saturdays fill the gravel lot by one. Weekday mornings are quiet and the apples are cold off the tree.

Dogs on a leash

Welcome in the pasture and around the barn, just not in the hoop houses or the orchard.

After the last winter pickup on January 28 the store closes until the first week of March. Summer 2027 shares open in February.

How the winter share works, when to visit, and what is growing now.

What comes in the winter share?

Storage crops and greens: winter squash, potatoes, carrots, beets, onions, cabbage, kale, and salad from the hoop houses, plus a dozen eggs and one jar from the pantry each week. Expect more roots and fewer greens by January.

How do pickups work around the holidays?

Thanksgiving week moves to Wednesday, November 25. There is no pickup on New Year's Eve. That makes twelve pickups between November 5 and January 28.

What if I miss a Thursday?

Call by noon and we will hold your share until Friday at 6. After that it goes to the food pantry in town.

When do summer shares go on sale?

The first week of February, for pickups starting in June. They usually sell out by April, and the newsletter goes out the morning they open.

Do I need to book u-pick?

No. Come during store hours through October 31 and pay by the pound on the way out. Groups of more than fifteen, please call first.

Can children come on the farm tour?

Yes, and under 12 they are free. The tour is about a mile of walking on grass and gravel, so strollers struggle in the lower field.

Can the harvest supper handle dietary needs?

Vegetarian, yes, if you tell us when you book. We cannot promise a gluten-free or nut-free kitchen, since the pantry and the bakery share one.
